This week at the Prayer and Community Spaces we have multi-faith open prayer, Christian worship and prayer, yoga, stretch and flow, a reading of a play, Jummah prayers and Chan meditation. For more information contact admin@prayerspace.org.uk.
I would love to invite you to a rehearsed reading, at the Community Space, on the 30th August at 6pm of a new play “Passing for Normal” by Olivia Foan. The play is being workshopped by Director Jamie Woods.
“Passing for Normal” shines a light on how mental health is currently treated within the NHS. The play follows Claire, a trainee psychologist on her first placement tackling how best to treat her group of patients whilst the pressures of the system weigh heavy on her. An intimate and darkly funny look at OCD within the NHS, the play asks where our demons hide and whether we have to bury our own to help others. After three days of work with some fantastic actors, it would be fantastic to have you come and share your thoughts and feedback with us. We will then have a very informal chat afterwards to gather feedback.
This week we have open prayer, stretch and flow, yoga, jummah prayer and Christian meditation happening at the Prayer and Community Spaces. Email admin@prayerspace.org.uk for further information.
Don’t forget about the multi-faith open prayer time that takes place between 12-3pm Monday to Friday. We have a wonderful team of Chaplains who are available to pray with or talk with. Anyone is welcome to come and pray or just sit and reflect.
